Hi, I’m Caroline!

The gist

I believe in subtly attuning myself to growing & shifting families as they cross threshold upon threshold. When we dwell safely within a center, rooted space, we call forth all the women & folks birthing before us, and right now.

Radical, creative, & inclusive care holds the capacity to birth sovereign & held humans, and empowered, well-regulated, & nourished parents. How we birth is how we live & grow in community — i am honored to support you all in these chapters of changing tides & swelling seas.

My work is that of a boundary keeper, space holder, advocate, & support team member so that you can be witnessed, uplifted, & nurtured throughout your journey.

The longer story

I grew up on the East Coast, in Western Maryland. Climbing fences & watching the rolling hills at sunset. Running to the sea, & the West Coast, every chance I had. Dreaming of mountains, far off cliffs coasting into the Pacific, the Atlantic, the Salish Sea. Writing at my white wooden desk. Carrying baby dolls & humming hymnals to the Earth & the humid Summer skies. Planting flower gardens in the dead of Winter for my third birthday — my own request.

At 18 years old, Autumn of 2015, I moved to Boulder, Colorado to follow the tendrils of my path & study Psychology, Poetry, & Entrepreneurship. I graduated in 2019, and headed on a pilgrimage to Ireland shortly thereafter. While in Boulder, I had learned of the roots of Radical Reproductive Justice thanks to the community at our regional Planned Parenthood. A call to care for mothers & families, and women/folks who had their autonomy threatened, stirred within me.

Ancestral callings & connections ebbed & flowed within me, too. I did my best to lean in, listen, & follow the way as it appeared to me. I hopped from the Hawaiian Islands (Hilo side of the Big Island) to the San Juans, where I began working more steadily in regenerative agriculture, caregiving for all ages & abilities, & nurturing the early roots of my full spectrum doula care. The San Juans are still a home for me, and I return whenever I can.

Amidst it all, I taught yoga & movement classes from age 19 onward, specializing in Yin & Gentle Flows nowadays. I communed with the plants & land to slowly unfurl as a folk herbalist — with a deep reverence for nettle, yarrow, Nootka roses, & so many more. I tend to a small home herbal garden & grow cut flowers at a local SLO farm. I have dreams of being a shepherdess — all in good time!

I’m a poet & fiber artist before anything else. A friend, partner, daughter, granddaughter, & sister, before even that.

I trained & worked as a midwife’s assistant on the San Juans before moving to SLO County. Here in SLO, I began my work as a Birth Doula in 2023, training with Carriage House Birth & furthering my work within the central stem of Radical Reproductive Rights & Justice, pioneered by so many before me.

I weave all my offerings together through ceremonies such as The Flora Portal & gatherings where babes are welcome in not-so-typical spaces (a yoga studio!). If you’d like to join, all are always welcome. Sliding scale rates & payment plans are always available.
